The Vienna Art Book Fair #2 (VABF), which will take place from October 20-22, 2023 is an international festival for the promotion and dissemination of artists’ publications and editions. In cooperation with die Angewandte – University for Applied Arts Vienna the venue “Expositur Vordere Zollamtstraße 7, 3rd District of Vienna” will be transformed on this weekend into an adventure park for booklovers. The Vienna Art Book Fair’s period of focus is the artists’ book as a democratic work of art. Accordingly, it is a major concern for Marlene Obermayer, the organizer and founder of the non-profit association Das Kunstbuch, to make the event free and open to the public. On an unprecedented scale in Austria, the Vienna Art Book Fair #2 offers for the second time a platform for artists, collectives, publishers, small publishers, antique dealers, institutions, printers and all those who are dedicated to the medium of the printed book.
