All Sources Are Broken / Workshop at Ūmėdė Festival

October 16–19, 2025
Ūmėdė Festival
at SODAS 2123 / Vilnius – Lithuania.

Labor Neunzehn is thrilled to participate in the Ūmėdė Festival with its media art project, presenting the workshop All Sources Are Broken.

This workshop explores the fragile delay between offline books and online hyperlinks, where texts unravel and fragment in the digital flux. How does the networking purpose of hyperlinks emerge in offline texts? What happens when we follow the links and online resources referenced in books?

Participants will delve into ASAB, a web-based application developed by Labor Neunzehn, investigating hyperlink obsolescence and the coexistence of print and hypertext. We’ll read together, like in a reading group, gradually moving from material books to the digital world, exploring the deferred space between offline and online, its delay and decay.

📚 Key themes: books, offline texts, online media resources, hyperlinks, reading strategies, citations, parallel narratives, offline and online, delay and decay.

A hands-on experience for those curious to rethink reading, research, and the digital afterlife of texts.
